Client: Microsoft
Microsoft were in negotiations with European mobile operators to bring Windows Mobile devices (eg Microsoft Smartphone and Pocket PC devices) to market. msgotomarket.com was a communications tool that provided marketing and training support to the mobile operators and Micosoft’s partners.
A password protected website was developed which included a ‘pick & mix’ of marketing and training support files for the operators to download and adapt to their own requirements. Order forms were also available, allowing operators to order marketing and training materials through the site.
The site was content managed allowing the core Microsoft account team to keep it up to date.
As the project manager, my responsibilities included:
- Scoping, budget and proposal development.
- Information architecture and specification.
- Day-to-day liason with client including managing expectations.
- Documentation – creative brief, specifications & process flow diagrams.
- Managing activities of developers and designers to ensure work was ‘on brief’.
- Coordinating content development.
- Monitoring progress against timeline.
- Reporting in to client.
